Help center

A help center that answers before customers ask

Organise answers into categories of articles, let customers find them from a search-first home page, and see what they searched for and couldn’t find.

From reader behaviour to the next pageViews, page feedback and searches with no results are collected from the published site into a list of content gaps; the Docsheaf Agent drafts a change request for them, writers review and merge it, and the fix is published.docs.acme.comWas this helpful?YesNoViews, visitorsPer page, over timePage feedbackHelpful, or notSearches…with no resultsContent gapsYour next pagesDocsheaf AgentDrafts a fixWritersReview and mergePublishedMerged and liveReaders find what they were looking for

Frequently asked questions

How is a help center organised?

As a knowledge base of categories and articles. Each category gets a card on the home page and a page of its own, and tags connect related articles across categories. Moving an article to another category keeps its URL.

How many knowledge bases can I have?

One on the Free plan, three on Pro, ten on Business and as many as you need on Enterprise. They’re counted separately from docs sites.

How do I know which articles are missing?

Insights list the searches that returned no results. Each one is a question your help center doesn’t answer yet.

Can customers tell us when an article isn’t helpful?

Yes. Every article asks “Was this helpful?” and stores the rating. You’ll find the ratings in Insights.

Can support agents edit articles?

Give them the editor role. They can propose changes in a change request, and a reviewer approves the changes before they go live.

Does Docsheaf have an AI chatbot for customers?

Yes, on Pro and above. Turn on Ask AI and customers can ask questions on your help center and get answers from your articles, with links to them. Questions it couldn’t answer show up in Insights.
